Project Supervisor - Construction Snow Mountain Ranch - Granby, CO Full Time
Salary Range: $22.65 - $26.90 Hourly
POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Supervisor reports to the Project Manager and assists in planning of construction projects and then oversees their progress in a timely and cost-effective manner. This position requires effective coordination on a daily basis with contractors, manufacturers, vendors, installers and other YMCA departments to provide constant communication and updates regarding the progress of the projects. This position is responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of projects and requires delegation of work assignments and follow up to ensure projects are on track with timeline and budget.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field. • 3-5+ years of proven experience in construction management including supervision and oversight of directing projects from design to construction, start through completion. • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of construction including: civil, residential, commercial and site planning. Be able to initiate and maintain change order processes, contract management, project controls, and schedules. • Ability to work well with external architects, design firms, local and state officials, and efficiently direct construction workers and subcontractors. • Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, proven leadership skills and ability to see the bigger picture. • Ability to toggle between short- and long-term schedule goals. Then plan ahead to prevent problems and meet deadlines. Communicate any necessary information to Project Manager • Ability to move independently throughout entire Snow Mountain Ranch grounds, both inside and outside, over rough and uneven terrain, and in inclement weather. • Must possess a valid, USA state issued driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles. • Ensure all construction is completed in accordance with current building, electrical, and mechanical codes, as well as within approved SMR design standards. • Using excellent MS office skills, prepare internal and external reports pertaining to the job status of each project and ensure all project documentation is accurate. • Responsible for exercising tact and professionalism when problem-solving and resolving conflicts; Maintains a willingness to take corrective actions to fix mistakes, address complaints, or otherwise improve project outcomes. • Must meet acceptable criminal background check standards.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to work flexible hours outside the normal work schedule for special events, emergency services, holidays etc. • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a diverse environment. • Very familiar with construction management software packages. CAD/GIS a plus. • Negotiate and prepare agreements for successful execution of work, including bid packages and contract documents. • Conduct design coordination meetings, pre-construction meetings, site inspections, punch list meeting and final project closeout. • Review all requests for information, change requests, etc. and issue appropriate responses. • Prepare detailed cost estimates for early budget and funding needs. • Create and maintain project cost reports and documents, negotiate changes that may affect project completion, quality, or contract costs. • Coordinate project construction/completion/move-in with appropriate Snow Mountain Ranch departments. • Review each project’s actual work progress on a daily basis to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. • Maintain and archive project records, as-built and close-out documents. • Maintain professional working relationships with internal colleagues, vendors, and local and state agencies.
