The Town of Winter Park is seeking an organized individual for a Building/Code Compliance Inspector. This position, under the direction and supervision of the Building Official and Community Development Director, will enforce and regulate standards to safeguard life, health, property, and welfare through adopted Town Ordinances regarding design, site management, construction, quality of the materials, use, signage, and occupancy of all buildings, sites, rights-of-way, and structures within the Town of Winter Park.
Responsibilities include performing building, plumbing, mechanical inspections, reviewing plans and enforcing Town Municipal Codes. Candidates must have experience in residential or commercial construction, code administration and compliance, with understanding of plan review, permit issuance, building, plumbing and mechanical inspections (electrical not required). An associates in construction technology, construction management, or a related field is desired. Qualified candidates should have at least three years of building construction or inspection experience. ICC certification preferred and is required to be obtained within one year of employment.
The salary range for this position is $61,317-$85,270 depending on qualifications.
