Machinist - Maintain, inspect, fabricate, repair and modify mechanical equipment.
Sheet Metal Worker - fabricate, remove, install and repair sheet metal up to 13 gauge on all types of railroad rolling stock. Railcar Electrical Mechanic - inspect, repair and maintain electrical components on diesel/electric and electric locomotives.
Radio Maintainer - install, maintain, adjust, troubleshoot and repair radio communication and public address systems, cellular interconnected devices and variable messaging signage throughout Metro-North territory.
Drawbridge Electrician - install, repair, inspect and maintain electrical equipment at Metro-North facilities including lighting in shops, passenger stations, platforms, heating equipment, fans, transformers, motors, moveable bridges, circuit breakers, motors and control systems.
Substation Electrician - maintain, repair, and install high voltage AC switch gears, circuit breakers, line switches, Traction Power transforms, rectifier units, bus work, motor generator frequency changers, storage battery systems and chargers.
Plumber - install, maintain and repair various piping systems in Metro-North stations and facilities.
