Little Blue Valley Sewer District, a public agency created in 1968, operates two  wastewater treatment facilities in Jackson and Cass counties in western Missouri with offices  located in Independence. The district serves a growing region in the eastern and  southeastern Kansas City metropolitan area with a combined treatment capacity of 54 MGD  encompassing approximately 278 square miles of land area and has a reputation for  environmental excellence.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT TECHNICIAN 

• Perform tasks associated with the operation and preventive  maintenance of wastewater treatment plant facilities & equipment. 
• Will train on-the-job. 
• Must acquire MO level “D” wastewater certification within 6 mos. 
• of employment & then acquire level “C” within 2 yrs. 
• Both requirements are conditions of employment. 
• Must possess & maintain valid driver’s license 
• Shift work (no swing shifts) 
• Facility runs 24/7 
• Union
