Vail Valley at Edwards Full time faculty positions begin in January 2023 with a 30 credit hour (170 day contract per Board Policy 4.12) teaching load annually.
The successful candidate will teach all courses in the Automotive Service Technology certificate program. The successful applicant will teach 675-1100 contact hours annually at Eagle Valley High School’s Automotive Service Technology shop, located in Gypsum, Colorado, for students in a concurrent enrollment program. This position also includes serving on campus and college-wide committees, student advising and performing other duties normally required of a full-time faculty member. Additional responsibilities may include collaborating collegewide to expand the program; continued development of current curriculum, participation on the program advisory committee, strengthen business and industry partnerships as well as the partnership with high school administration, and oversight of the automotive facility and equipment. Excellent organizational and leadership skills are essential. Teaching responsibilities expected of all faculty include: teaching course load as assigned, evaluate courses and assess student learning, meet established course, program and learning outcomes, comply with guidelines and policies, maintain office hours per established standards, develop rapport with students, assist with and participate in advising, orientation and registration activities. CMC Faculty are expected to engage in service activities such as campus and college committees, participation in relevant projects, mentor peers, participate in and assist with assessment activities, program review, student organization, recruiting and retention.
Salary range: $71,039.61 - $86,526.18 depending upon education and experience. Examples of ideal qualifications include: Minimum Required: A related associates (or relevant current industry license or certification) and 4000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years; OR, a related Bachelor’s or any Master’s degree with 18 discipline related credits and 2000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years. Course delivery may include a mix of live in-person/livestream, hybrid asynchronous/synchronous, and with the use of video-conferenced software modalities available to students throughout the College district.
