WWTP Electrician

The City of Warren is accepting applications for the position of WWTP Electrician. This position performs technical and skilled work at the Waste Water Treatment Plant in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical electronic, Electro-Mechanical, analog and digital systems and instrumentation utilizing up to 4800 volts.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited high school, G.E.D. equivalent or equivalent trade school
  • Copy of diploma, G.E.D. or official transcripts required at time of application
• Three (3) years experience as a journeyman electrician in an industrial and/or commercial setting
• One (1) year of experience servicing electronic control systems
• Certified as an electrician with the State of Michigan for the past three (3) years
  • Copy of licensing required with application
• Basic computer skills, proficient with email, MS Word, MS Excel, printing, scanning and faxing
• Possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Michigan.
• Driving record must meet city standards for insurability.
  • Copy of driver’s license required with application

Pay rate:  $69,000/year - $78,988/year (after 5 years)
